Our Services
Structural design and detailing of new buildings
We design steel, steel-concrete composite, reinforced concrete, masonry, and timber buildings according to Eurocodes and other international design standards.
We collaborate with the architectural and mechanical engineering teams to identify the optimum structural form and layout of structural members.
We deliver preliminary and final drawings with all the necessary construction details; detailed reports with data and assumptions, analysis results and design calculations; and bill of materials.
We offer extensive support during the construction stage of the project.
If requested, we develop, use, and share 3D BIM models along the whole design, fabrication, and construction process.

Seismic assessment and retrofit of existing vulnerable buildings
We use original drawings and in-situ survey to verify the exact geometry of the existing building.
We employ destructive and non-destructive testing along with thorough in-situ inspection to obtain mechanical properties of the materials, reinforcements details, steel connection details, etc.
We employ linear and advanced nonlinear structural analysis to assess the seismic capacity according to EN1998-3, KAN.EPE, or any other international seismic assessment standard.
If strengthening is needed, we combine different techniques and advanced materials to find optimum retrofit solutions that result in the lowest possible cost and downtime without compromising seismic resistance.
Design and detailing of bridges
We can design different types of bridges such as highway bridges, pedestrian bridges, and suspension bridges.
We will explore different structural systems and materials, e.g. steel, steel-concrete composite, or post-tensioned reinforced concrete.
We offer services for conceptual design, tender design, and detailed final design.
Our designs and detailed drawings will provide every single detail for steel connections, reinforcing steel, and non-structural elements.
If requested, a 3D BIM model may be prepared for the whole bridge to facilitate collaboration among different design teams as well as rapid and efficient management and construction.
We have experience in Eurocodes but we can also adopt international design standards.
K Group has the scientific background and expertise to provide services in fire-resistant design and assessment of steel structures.
Our fire analysis and design process provides the actual critical temperature for each structural member, and thus, allows safe and scientifically sound decisions to be made in terms of reducing costly fire protection materials.
Our fire engineering framework is based on Eurocodes but we are in place to adopt any international fire design standard.
Design and detailing of special purpose structures
We offer services for the design of industrial facilities including steel pipe racks, liquid storage tanks, etc.
Apart from standard analysis and design procedures, we may also employ advanced analysis methods that take into account effects such as dynamic fluid-structure interaction and dynamic soil-structure interaction.
We provide consulting services for the design and assessment of steel wind turbines under service loads or extreme loading scenarios.
Design and implementation of energy dissipation devices for seismic and wind vibration control
For both new and existing buildings, we design and develop the implementation strategy for energy dissipation devices in order to achieve superior seismic and wind vibration control.
Our expertise covers fluid viscous, viscoelastic, and hysteretic metallic or friction devices.
We provide drawings for the installation of the devices and detailed reports with analysis results and design calculations.
Our designs offer significant reductions in material for new buildings and non-disruptive rapid retrofit schemes for existing buildings.
To achieve this goal, we employ advanced nonlinear dynamic analysis and optimization while also maintaining compatibility with available design standards for antiseismic devices, e.g. EN15128, ASCE/SEI.
